Productivity and technology – what are the implications for business, work and welfare?
On 28 October the Storting in collaboration with the Norwegian Board of Technology will be organizing an international conference on productivity and new technologies. The conference will take place in the Lagting Chamber.
During the conference the following topics will be discussed:
• Productivity Policies in Europe and the United States
• Advanced manufacturing in high-cost countries – what are the possibilities?
• Skills and vocational education in the future
• Will robots and automation create unemployment or welfare?
During the conference a presentation will be given on the recent developments of policies and trends for new technologies and productivity in a number of European countries, with contributions from the USA, Germany, UK and Netherlands.
