The event is expected to last for around 20 minutes.

“We are facing the biggest war and the worst humanitarian catastrophe in Europe since World War Two. President Zelensky's address to the Storting is a rare and historic occasion which reflects the immense gravity of the situation. By meeting President Zelensky, a united Storting will show its strong cross-party sympathies for Ukraine, and support their struggle,” said President of the Storting Masud Gharahkhani.

Ukraine’s ambassador will be present, and the members of the Norwegian Government have also been invited.

The Storting’s public gallery will be reserved for the media and technical equipment, and will therefore be closed to the public. The session will be streamed live on the Storting’s web TV (on the “Stortingssalen” channel). The “Høringssal 1” channel will show President Zelensky only (without footage of the Storting Chamber). President Zelensky's address will be interpreted into English.
