Welcome to the heart of democracy

The Storting is inviting the public to its Open House on Friday 12 May from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The 2017 election year is in progress, and this autumn you can help decide who gets a seat in the Storting Chamber. Come inside and see how politics works while experiencing many of the Storting’s wonderful rooms.

Coffee and cake in the Storting Restaurant

The Storting’s Open House has become a tradition, and this year it will be even bigger than before. Visitors can wander the Storting building and take in the Storting Chamber, the grand Eidsvoll Gallery and exhibitions in the Historical Hall. In the Central Hall, the political parties will be present to tell about their policy views. The Storting Restaurant will be open, serving coffee and cake.

Prepare for the 2017 Storting election with a unique visit to the Storting!

Entrance will be from Løvebakken (“Lion Hill”). The Storting will open the doors at 4 p.m. All visitors must pass through security. The event is free.
