On Tuesday 29th March, Olemic Thommessen and Marit Nybakk, President and First Vice President of the Storting respectively, conveyed the Storting’s condolences to Ms Riffat Masood, Pakistan’s ambassador to Norway.

“On behalf of the Storting, I would like to express our deepest sorrow and sympathy to all those affected by the dreadful attack in Lahore. Our thoughts go out to the victims, their relatives and friends, and the Pakistani people as a whole. Attacking children and their families is an incomprehensible and atrocious act. It shows how vital the work to create stable democracies that protect the rights of their citizens is,” said the President of the Storting.
