Excellency,

On behalf of the Norwegian Parliament, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and to the families of the victims of the heinous act that was carried out in Paris yesterday.

It is our responsibility as parliamentarians to promote democratic values and freedom of expression that are of such vital importance across Europe.

Words fail to express the strong emotional response we have to such acts of terror. However, I wish to assure the French Parliament of our deepest sympathy and solidarity in this time of mourning.
