Valget er ditt is a political workshop for lower secondary school students.
Participants are introduced to different aspects of political life and learn to discuss political and constitutional issues.
Before the workshop the students are given a guided tour of the Parliament building. After that, they gather in the Lagting Chamber, where they are divided into parliamentary party groups
The Storting – the Norwegian Parliament – offers two versions of the workshop. Valget er ditt: 2050 requires students to make choices that will have consequences for the way Norway will function in the year 2050. Valget er ditt: 2014, on the other hand, asks participants to draw up their own constitution. The latter was devised as part of the bicentenary celebrations of the Norwegian constitution in 2014.
